Copying music to iRiver H10 on Leopard
Hi,
iRiver have pesky firmware on the H10 allowing it to connect only to Windows Media Player 10 or over. No good when using a Mac however!
The solution is to reset the H10 (by using a pin in the little reset hole at the top of the device).
Once reset, connect it to your Mac. Hold the select button (button below the screen to the right) and power on the H10 using the power button on the left hand side. It should start and you should see ‘Emergency Connect’ appear at the top of the normal loading screen.
The device should show up in Finder and you can then drag and drop and even create/delete directories on it. No Media Player Required!
Once you’ve finished, eject the device but be sure to update the database. This is done by going to Settings->Extra->Database Refresh and selecting yes.
